In 1903, the Hensley family settled atop Brush Mountain, forsaking settled areas for an entirely self-sufficient way of life. This truly rural Appalachian settlement continued, without electricity, indoor plumbing, roads or any modern conveniences until the last inhabitant left in 1951. Approximately 25 of the original buildings have been restored and the surrounding land has been returned to the original farming and pasture scene of its original appearance.
Phil Conn interviews Cradis D. Williams, considered to be the father of Appalachian Studies, on the early settlement in eastern Kentucky. Produced by the Division of Media Services at Morehead State University in 1982.

Should I accept a settlement offer in my Kentucky product liability case? | English, Lucas, Priest and Owsley, LLP | Personal Injury, Nursing Home Abuse and Negligence, Pharmaceutical and Medical Product Injury and Wrongful Death attorneys | 1101 College Street, Bowling Green, Kentucky 42101 | http://injury.elpolaw.com | (270) 781-6500 I would highly encourage you not to accept a settlement offer that has been proposed to you by a product manufacturer in Kentucky without first seeking the advice of an experienced Kentucky product liability attorney. The biggest problem that you have in accepting an offer is that they're going to ask you to sign a release which would do away with all of your claims. One of the things that we see in almost all releases is that the release has what we cal...

A journey with Kniki in December 2009 to a beautiful town to enjoy the sites, the antique shops, and the best food anyone would want. The atmosphere was fantastic, with Christmas decorations you just can't imagine unless you saw them. It will bring out the kid in you - no matter what your age may be. I truly enjoy visiting this place - especially at Christmastime.
